Born in Kuwait and raised in Turkey, Hale is a Turkish-Palestinian chef and the author of De Bijbel van de Turkse Keuken. She moved to the Netherlands in 2016 and since then, she has been committed to sharing the lesser-known treasures of Turkish cuisine. She founded Turkish Tale in 2019 as a take away and catering business and in 2023 together with her husband Tom, she turned her small business into a small restaurant.
Born and raised in Eindhoven, Tom is a passionate cook, butcher and a hot sauce maker. After meeting his wife Hale, he found himself in the wonderful world of Turkish cuisine and spicy food. His years of kitchen experience birthed all kinds of wonderful sauces which are now distributed in 13 different countries. He still follows his dream while helping his wife follow hers. Together with Hale, they have a 4 year old son.
